Forza Motorsport 6, the next iteration in Microsoft's hugely successful racing game series, won't disappoint fans, as two of its marketing executives have confirmed that the title is taking great shape at developer Turn 10 Studios and that it will appear this holiday season, meaning that a traditional fall debut is guaranteed.

The Forza Motorsport series has slowly but surely evolved into a behemoth for Microsoft, as the large corporation now has two separate developers working on the racing franchise, in order to produce new releases every year in an alternate manner.

After Forza Motorsport 5 for the Xbox One in 2013 and Forza Horizon 2 for Xbox One and Xbox 360 in 2014, Microsoft is now busy with Forza Motorsport 6, which was confirmed by Turn 10 Studios last month, at the North American International Auto Show in Detroit.

The game, since then, hasn't received any other details, but while talking on two different podcasts with Rectify and Inner Circle, a couple of Microsoft marketing executives have shed a bit more light on the upcoming racing game.

First up, Xbox Social Marketing Manager for the EMEA region, Graeme Boyd, confirms that there will be plenty of news about Forza Motorsport 6 coming in the next few months and that Turn 10 Studios will certainly get the community involved in the development of the new Xbox One game.

The game is coming this fall

Meanwhile, Xbox Global Director of Games Marketing, Aaron Greenberg, mentions that the game is among the big exclusives coming to the Xbox One platform this winter holiday season, meaning that it will almost surely debut in either October or November, as previous entries in the series did.

Unfortunately, he declined to shed any more light on the subject, so it's quite likely that an actual launch date will be made public at E3 2015 in June. Until then, expect to hear a few more things about Forza Motorsport 6.
