Over the top graphics in Forza 2

Some more information about Forza Motorsport 2 has been revealed, as the games' developers decided to spill the beans. They have previously announced that they plan to release Forza, alongside Crackdown and Shadowrun, at the end of June 2007.

Now, Turn 10's systems architect Chris Tector reveals that his development team has implemented into Forza a miraculous code that allows for the game to be rendered at 60 frames per second. Furthermore, this 60 frames per second rate can be obtained with most of the post-processing special effects and car HUD turned on.

Turn 10 brags some more and reveals that the physics engine is now running at an even higher refresh rate than the previous Forza, but keeping their feet on the ground, they also mention that these features are often traded in for other features. They admit that it's too early to tell what the finish product will look like, but they hope not to sacrifice anything in order to keep the 60 frames per second.

As far as I'm concerned, the end of June 2007 is too far away, as I can't wait to get my hands on this jewel of a game. I'm saving up for a Mitsubishi Lancer Evo VII, but until I get enough money, I'll have to settle for a virtual version present in Forza Motorsport 2.
