Video game developer Playground Games and publisher Microsoft announce that the new Forza Horizon 2 will get access to no less than eight new free cars on launch date, giving gamers even more options when it comes to the vehicles they can use in the upcoming races.

The total number of cars that are included in the title is over 200 and the two companies are promising that they will deliver even more updates after launch in order to make sure that the best vehicles in the world are offered.

The official announcement states, "The Launch Bonus Car Pack will include three never-before-seen vehicles in the Forza franchise: the 2003 Ford Focus RS, the 1997 Land Rover Defender 90, and the 1993 Clio Williams. Best of all, all eight of the cars featured in the Launch Bonus Car Pack will be available to all Forza Horizon 2 players at launch for no additional cost."

Gamers can also use the 2015 Ford Mustang GT, 1987 Buick Regal GNX, 2012 Cadillac Escalade ESV, 1968 Abarth 595 esseesse, and 1956 Ford F-100.

Forza Horizon 2 also gets VIP membership and Car Pass

The developers are also announcing a VIP membership for the racing title which is designed to act as a backstage pass for the entire video game.

Microsoft adds, "VIP members will receive exclusive benefits in Forza Horizon 2, including the VIP Car Pack, featuring five cars (four of which are brand new to the Forza franchise). VIP membership also awards with 2x player in-game reward acceleration, access to exclusive multiplayer events, in-game gifts from the Forza community team, and special in-game recognition."

More details about the offer will be delivered once the title is closer to its launch date.

Forza Horizon 2 also includes a Car Pass which offers players access to six special DLC deliveries that start in October and continue at the rhythm of one per month, with five new cars included in each of them.

The 2010 Noble M600 is also offered for free to all those who are ready to sign up for the new offer.

A demo for Forza Horizon 2 is at the moment offered on the Xbox One, and gamers will be able to play the title on the current-gen console from Microsoft and on the older Xbox 360 on September 30.

The experience will take gamers to Southern France and Italy and will feature some of the most exciting roads in the world of racing.
