No one can say that the tech industry isn’t run by young people. And many of them not only run companies that put the world at their feet, but they’re also some of the richest individuals on the planet.

While some names will most likely sound very familiar, others have been less in the spotlight. This doesn’t mean, however, that their contributions are meaningless.

According to Forbes’ list of the youngest billionaires this year, many of the names come from the tech industry.

Dustin Moskovitz is Mark Zuckerberg’s former roommate, and one of the people who helped build Facebook. He has a 5 percent stake in the company, which puts his net worth at about $2.5 billion (€ 1.9 billion).

Mark Zuckerberg is on the list as well. The 29-year-old is worth about $19 billion (€14.2 billion), thanks to the Facebook empire he built.

Another name related to Facebook, Sean Parker, is worth about $2 billion (€1.5 billion), which is more than can be said about some 99 percent of 33-year olds.

Twitter’s Jack Dorsey is also on the Forbes list with a net worth of $1.3 billion (€1 billion). At 36, he is one of the youngest tech executives in Silicon Valley.

Google’s Sergey Brin is 40 and has a net worth of nearly $25 billion (€18.7 billion). Another top exec on the list coming from Google is Larry Page, who is the same age as Brin and about the same net worth.

Forbes puts together the net worth of each American billionaire and issues an annual list of those who make it on the exclusive Forbes 400 list. Some of the members of the list, however, are luckier than others, as the magazine says, since they have the talent, the money, and many years ahead of them to spend it all however they see fit.
