Throughout the years, there have been many celebrities who did their best in making sure both their fans and ordinary folks were well aware of how wearing nothing was so much better than wearing fur.

Football star Brett Lockett is one of the latest public figures to take part in such an anti-animal cruelty campaign rolled out by PETA (People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals), Huffington Post reports.

Truth be told, said green-oriented organization was most inspired when choosing Brett Lockett as their new poster child, seeing how its physique is nothing if not likely to draw in some stares.

Hopefully, due attention will also be given to the message accompanying Brett's picture: “Ink, not mink. Be comfortable in your own skin, and let animals keep theirs.”

In case anyone was wondering what caused this football player's interest in defending animal rights, it seems that Brett Lockett was deeply touched by footage showing how animals were tortured for the sole purpose of getting their fur.
