A Massachusetts-based company will debut a car that can fly, right from your driveway. Terrafugia is preparing a big launch in 2015.

You would not have to be a pilot to maneuver one, as it lifts in the air vertically, then reaches heights that small aircrafts can.

According to I Science Times, it will be operated by auto pilot, and only five hours of training are needed. The operator would have the option to override the automatic controls.

The TF-X flying vehicle will cost $279,000 (€204,000) but the Terrafugia CEO explains that it would help save on yearly flying costs.

“The global impact of widely distributed, practical, personal airborne transportation has been estimated by the non-profit CAFE Foundation at approximately $800 billion (€585 billion)/year,” Carl Dietrich says.
