A flying car developed for missionary use has crashed in Canada, almost landing atop an elementary school.

As you can see above, the car, flown by Ray Sebring ended up near a tree in Vernon, British Columbia, after passing through a fence.

According to Jalopnik, the pilot is OK after crashing at around 9 a.m. on Friday, May 10. Sebring flew his vehicle dangerously close to the school, with several people inside. They have all come out of the crash safely.

The car used here is a Maverick, produced by the Florida-based company Maverick LSA. It is flown with the use of a parachute and a propeller, and it is targeted at those traveling on land in which roads are scarce.

It makes it possibly to pass through areas that one cannot drive on, then return to the car functionality once the road is better.
