Flicker is definitely one of the most popular photo managers for Android devices. With more than 5 million downloads on Google Play Store, Flicker allows users to upload, access, organize, edit and share their photos from any device while on the move.

Developed by Yahoo, Flickr application has just received an important update on Android platform, which brings some new features and improvements that should excite its most dedicated fans.

First of all, if you aren't that pleased with Dropbox's services, then you probably know that Yahoo provides Flickr users with no less than 1000GB of free storage for their photos.

But to make it easier to take advantage of all that free storage space, the update introduces a new option that will allow Flickr application to auto-upload photos and video to their camera roll. According to developers, they will be kept private all the time, until users choose to share them.

But that's not all. According to the official changelog, there's a new timeline view with improved browsing, organization and sharing, which should further enhanced user experience.

The app has been redesigned and given a new look

Furthermore, developers also confirmed that the application received a facelift with an all-new elegant, approachable look and feel to match the new camera roll. Long time Flickr users will probably notice the new visual changes as soon as they open the application.

Last but not least, the latest Flickr update will allow users to unleash their creativity with photo edits straight from your Flickr photos, so there's no need to leave the application at all.

A fair share of under-the-hood improvements and bug fixes have been implemented as well, but no additional details have been provided on the matter.

If you don't have the application installed yet, you can now download Flickr for Android for free via Google Play Store. The application should be fully compatible with all devices powered by Android 4.0 and up.
