Flickr is one the most used services that allows users to upload their pictures and share them with other members of the community. Today, a new feature was announced by Yahoo, the owner of this service, after Yahoo! Shopping Team posted a message on their official blog.

The feature, entitled Camera Finder, allows users to search for a specific camera, read details about it and then view pictures posted by other members with the respective camera.

"Flickr just launched a bunch of new features including the new Flickr Camera Finder, which shows you the most popular cameras used on Flickr. If you're in the market for a camera, or perhaps just curious what the pros use, you can use the finder to see which camera models are popular, track usage over time, view product specs, prices, and user reviews.

You can also view interesting photos taken with that particular camera for a quick quality check. The product specs, prices, and user reviews are powered by the Yahoo! Shopping APIs, with links to Yahoo! Shopping for more detailed purchase information," Jen Faenza, Product Manager for Yahoo! Shopping sustained.

"This launch is a good example of combining different parts of Yahoo! to help improve the user experience. Flickr users can view what's popular in the Flickr community and then use that data to help guide their camera research and purchase decisions on Yahoo! Shopping," he added.
