Security experts have identified yet another scam in which a Flickr profile is used to lure internauts to scammy websites.

ThreatTrack Security’s Chris Boyd reports identifying one Flickr profile that’s leading users to a couple of scam sites hosted on Blogspot. One of them advertises free Amazon gift cards, while the other one claims to offer a Steam key finder.

According to the expert, when users visit the bogus Steam Key Finder blog, they’re instructed to share the page on Facebook and click on a button to “Generate Certification.”

Those who click on the button are taken to Facebook via an advertisement website that generates some profit for the crooks.

However, the ads are not the worst part. The worst part is that when victims go to Facebook, the social media site immediately informs them that they must change their password since it has likely been compromised.

The Amazon gift card site is designed to trick users into participating in various surveys to aid the scammers to make a profit.

Users are advised to avoid such websites.
