Going with the flow is sometimes the only way forward, which is why Sharkoon has finally updated its entire line of flash drives to USB 3.0, releasing the Flexi-Drive GO line in the process.
Saying that Sharkoon is updating its product line is just partly right: half of it is scrapping production of all USB 2.0-only models.
Still, the Flexi-Drive GO is the highlight of its press release, so that is what we will be writing about.
It is available in four capacities: 8 GB, 16 GB, 32 GB and 64 GB. So we might say the Flexi-Drive GO is more of a new series than a new product.
The top read speed achieved by the new drives is 80 MB/s, while the writing speed is limited to just 10 MB/s (5 MB/s for the 8 GB drive).
The USB 3.0 Flexi-Drive GO have the same prices as the USB 2.0 drives that have been pulled from the market. Windows XP/Vista/7/8, Mac OS 10.x and Linux from Kernel 2.4 operating systems are supported.
