Nowadays video game reveals happen many months or even years in advance, but Strategy First and Team 6 Studios have trumped the trend and announced their FlatOut 3: Chaos & Destruction title a week before it’s actually going to be released on the PC, via the Steam digital distribution service.

The original FlatOut titles gained cult appeal many years ago, when they were able to duke it out with the much more popular Burnout series and deliver quality, destruction racing experiences.

Now, it seems that the franchise is going to be continued, even if the new FlatOut 3: Chaos & Destruction title isn’t developed by the same team at Bugbear Entertainment, as publisher Strategy First has brought in Team 6 Studios to make the new game.

Still, from what we can see on its Steam page, the game is looking pretty good, with great visuals and, most importantly, lots of quality crashes and destruction that happen throughout the actual races.

“FlatOut 3: Chaos & Destruction brings a new dimension to high speed destruction racing,” its Steam description reads. “FlatOut 3: Chaos & Destruction is demolition racing at its extreme. Real world physics with 9 different game modes, and over 47 different vehicles available. Players may choose to race, smash and destroy their opponents in a wide variety of online and offline options.”
