Low-tech solution

I don't know if you've gotten any errors while trying to join a Call of Duty 3 or Gears of War game, but you should probably read this, just in case you encounter such problems.

Many gamers have reported such errors, and Voodoo Extreme website brings now the partial solution for these problems. They present a thread on the Xbox forum featuring some instructions on how to get rid of any connection errors. To be more exact, the post refers to a fix for Gears of War but let's hope that it will applicable to Call of Duty 3 also.

The post instructs to choose exactly what kind of game you want, versus, cooperative and so on. After choosing the type of game, if your selection was versus, you must decide if you want to be ranked or not and after that, you must select "Custom Match".

After you select the "Custom Match" option, you have to fill out the query with information in order for the system to find a game that you intend to play in. When it says "Searching" or "Refreshing", you must quickly hit the X button on your joystick. Once you hit X, you will be able to choose a game from the list that appears behind the dialogue.

This doesn't seem like a very high-tech solution, but let's appreciate the poster for sharing the information with us.
