The Wordpress platform is always updated and added new features but it can't have everything for everyone. While some features may only have a small number of people requesting them, others may not be desired by developers. This is where plug-ins come in. Built by various authors to modify or add to software, some have proven very popular with part of their features eventually ending up in the main software suite. Here are five plug-ins that will make your life easier and save you time.

Post Ideas is great if you have an idea for a post but don't have the time or simply can't write it at the moment. You could just write a draft but with this plug-in you can keep things much more organized. It has several fields in which you can write a working title, a small description, keywords and links related to the post. You can also assign a priority to the post so you know how important it is in the future.

Tidy Up. If you use a lot of HTML in your posts this plug-in is for you. Tidy Up can search trough all your posts and check for HTML code errors. If there are any it shows their location and suggests ways to fix them. It also has a utility that checks your MySQL database and removes unused data.

Tweetable Twitter is a plug-in for Twitter users. It integrates with your blog and will automatically send a tweet every time you publish a new post. It can also be configured to use the URL shortening service you choose.

Sticky Post. Some themes don't have the option of keeping a post on first in the list even if there are newer posts. If you want a way to do this but don't want to change or modify your theme this plug-in is the tool for the job.

Mass Post Manager, as the name implies, helps you manage your posts in bulk if you want to make more significant changes to your categories or manage comments for several posts at a time.
