Few but diehard fans were happy to hear that Tom Cruise was making another “Mission: Impossible” movie but, in time, the actor has offered zero reasons to doubt his intention of delivering the most adrenaline-pumping incredible stunts and action scenes. The trailer embedded here confirms just that.

Fans of the “Mission: Impossible” franchise should be happy to know that they can now see what Cruise and the rest of the cast have been working on for months in a row, in locations in all corners of the world.

The first official trailer reveals not only plot details (the entire IMF team is wrongly accused of bombing Kremlin) but also a good look at the stunts in the countless action scenes.

In fact, as MTV News points out, it seems that the entire “Ghost Protocol” movie will be like one action scene ending and another beginning, which is precisely what fans were promised when the film was announced, before it went into production.

The trailer also offers a good look at newcomer Jeremy Renner (“Hurt Locker,” “The Town”), who is believed to be taking over from Tom Cruise in future installments of the “M:I” franchise, assuming audiences react positively to his character.

“Who are you really, Brandt?” Ethan Hunt (Tom Cruise) asks Brandt (Renner) in a face-off scene, believed to be among the tensest moments in the film.

“We all have our secrets. Don’t we, Ethan?” Brandt replies. Clearly, there’s something about him he’s not saying, and the trailer doesn’t even attempt to reveal it because, if it did, it would probably ruin the entire movie.

What it does show a great deal of is just how action-packed “Ghost Protocol” will be, as also noted above. Tom Cruise did most of his stunts, as his wife Katie Holmes and film director Brad Bird (“The Incredibles”) noted in several past interviews.

“The movie is going to be very cool and intense and the best ‘Mission’ yet,” Holmes said, calling the latest installment “amazing,” as cited by MTV News.

“It’s big and it is crazy. I think the craziest thing is that [the stunts] are real they’re not digital. That’s Tom Cruise on the tallest building in the world, he’s doing all that stuff,” Bird also said.

To get a good idea of how big and crazy “Ghost Protocol” will be, check out the trailer below and, as usual, enjoy.
