Triumph's Solar Swimsuit powers iPods and cellphones

OK... So you want to hit the waves with no big chargers hanging down from your pockets. Stop organizing your cables and drop the hand cracks, the battery chargers that work with batteries or the solar powered chargers. You don't need them anymore (at least not when you're taking a sunbath).

It's official: the Triumph Solar Swimsuit is out for sale...later. It's not a first though. Solar swimsuits have been around the block for a while now, but Triumph International, one of the world's largest manufacturers of lingerie and swimwear, is the first company to make them commercially available. This is the result of Triumph and Conergy, photovaltic cell manufacturer, joined venture. It can provide enough energy to keep your cellphone yapping and your iPod yelling for hours.

Of course it's waterproof, but if you want to take it for a dive, you'll have to wait until iPods and cellphones will be rugged enough to combo with this big dog. Anyway, iPod accessories manufacturers will probably take advantage of the situation and will create lots of accessories to fit the latest trends in solar- powered beach outfits.

The price is still unknown (it's probably part of Triumph's teasing marketing tactic). I'm guessing it will probably be unveiled when Triumph will present their 2007 collection.

If you happen to ask yourself who's the "muscular miss" in the picture, she's the Spanish swimming champion, Gemma Mengual. She actually presented the suit for the first time at America's Cup in Valencia.
