This is one occasion when a man's nickname definitely fits

This is one case where the word “Jetman” definitely describes the situation a certain someone will soon be in, even though, technically, jetman isn't even a word.

A Swiss adventurer by the name of Yves Rossy (pronounced something along the lines of eev RAW'-see) will soon fly his jet in the USA.

That's right, the man has a jet pack and he's going to perform a demonstration flight in the United States.

He intends to inspire people to reach greater heights, metaphorically, while he reaches heights of up to 12,000 feet.

His maximum speed, when ascending anyway, is of 190 mph. The jet suit is controlled with a handheld throttle.

His first flight will be next week, on Tuesday (August 6, 2013). His next stop is at the Reno Air Races, in September.
