14 DAY TRIAL // Two “Snow White” movies went in production this summer, both with equally impressive casts. Tarsem’s film, starring Julia Roberts, Lily Collins and Armie Hammer, seems to take the fairytale approach, as the new photos confirm.
Whereas the other “Snow White” will present a rougher, feistier version of the heroine we’ve all grown up with, Tarsem goes for the classic one, with a dash of exaggeration on the side.
The just released photos show Lily Collins in character, as Snow White. She’s gorgeous and very innocent, with her dark hair making a wonderful contrast with her white gown and pale skin.
Julia Roberts is the Evil Queen, of whom Tarsem said he wanted to come up with a “schizophrenic” character – and she certainly looks the part.
Armie Hammer, known to fans from “The Social Network” (the Winklevii), is Prince Charming. Charming he is, indeed; and brave too, it seems, since he’s pictured with a sword in hand.
The yet untitled “Snow White” will be out in theaters in 2012.
