This November, Quentin Tarantino’s tenth movie will be out in theaters after such an arduous process that he came very close to pulling the plug on it altogether. This week’s edition of Entertainment Weekly brings a first look at the movie, via the cover photo of the principal cast.

Well, it’s a first official look, because pretty much everything essential about this movie is known after a series of massive leaks, including of the official script, of the first trailer, and production details.

The photo shows Samuel L. Jackson, Jennifer Jason Leigh and Kurt Russell in character as Major Marquis Warren, Daisy Domergue and John Ruth, wrapped up in furs and wool, and packing a lot of heat.

“The Hateful Eight” tells the story of these 3 desperadoes taking refuge from a snowstorm in a bar. The only problem is, they’re not the only ones to do so, so they come face to face with several criminals and shady characters played by Tarantino’s favorite Michael Madsen, Tim Roth, Demian Bichir, Walton Goggins and Bruce Der.

If you feel like this is familiar somehow, that’s because Tarantino first did it in “Reservoir Dogs.” He said he didn’t deliberately set out to create a similar story, but he ended up loving how it came full circle.
