Here is Clark Kent and here he is actually doing a good deed

With all the brouhaha caused by Zack Snyder’s decision to cast Ben Affleck as Batman in the follow-up to “Man of Steel,” “Batman V. Superman: Dawn of Justice,” and all those petitions to Warner Bros. to have him uncast because he would ruin the movie and such an iconic character, it’s almost like the entire world forgot about Man of Steel himself.

The photo above is here to remind you of him – and of the handsome actor playing him, Henry Cavill.

Thanks to Snyder’s generosity, we’ve already seen what Affleck will look like in the Batsuit, as well as a glimpse of the Batmobile. From paparazzi photos, we also know that Affleck is not yet on set and that he’s still training to build muscle mass to make a convincing Batman, one that would actually stand a fighting chance against Superman.

Meanwhile, from insiders on set, we know that Jason Momoa will probably play Aquaman and we’ve also found out that Jesse Eisenberg’s Lex Luthor has a blonde hair and looks like a surfer dude.

Yes, but what about Superman?

Well, during all this time when everyone else was looking into a different direction, Cavill quietly resumed the part that has virtually made him one of the hottest actors in Hollywood right now. The Daily Mail obtained this photo of him in costume on set but, this time, he’s not in his Superman getup.

The photo above is of Cavill in his human disguise, as newly-minted journalist Clark Kent. The shot wasn’t snapped during filming but, from what we can make of it, on one of the production breaks, because the actor is posing with a Royal Marines Charitable Trust Fund T-shirt.

The Mail says he’s the ambassador for this charity, so he’s actually doing a good deed here by distracting us from his Superman role to point out for us something more important.

In other Superman-related news, there is a lot of buzz online that we might get to see some footage from the highly anticipated film later this month, once San Diego Comic-Con kicks off. Last year, this was the place where Snyder and Warners confirmed the sequel with Batman in it, so it would only make sense for them to debut footage from the film here as well.

Other rumors claim that Warners might even set up a booth for the movie, complete with the Batmobile, which means fans will get to see more of it than what was shown in those couple of shots released by Snyder on his Twitter some weeks ago.

We only have a little over a couple of weeks to go to see if there’s any truth to these reports.

“Batman V. Superman: Dawn of Justice” is scheduled for theatrical release in May 2016.
