14 DAY TRIAL // You can’t call yourself a horror movie fan without knowing of “Carrie” and the kind of landmark it was for the genre. A remake for it is coming out later this year, and below is the first official look at it.
Starring Chloe Moretz as Carrie and Julianne Moore as her fanatic mother who takes her religious beliefs one step too far, the film is directed by Kimberly Peirce.
A trailer has not been released yet, but the video below is a teaser. It doesn’t show Moore but it should be good enough until the full trailer comes out.
Speaking of the remake in older interviews, Moretz went to great lengths to convince fans that it would be different from the original, in a way that would make them appreciate it as a separate project, for its own merits.
We’ll see about that in October, when it comes out.
