Dracula has come a long way from how he was in Bram Stoker's time, the man who created him. In Sony Animation's upcoming film, “Hotel Transylvania,” he is father to a teenage daughter and runs a hotel, as the name also implies.

Deciding to treat the fans on Halloween, Sony Animation released the first sketches from the animated film that will have Adam Sandler voice the world's most famous undead man (Edward from “Twilight” hasn't earned the title yet).

They show Dracula doing various facial expressions, but since these are just sketches, fans are to expect a different version of the character to be included in the final product.

As noted above, “Hotel Transylvania” is a different take on the Dracula story: he's built a hotel to entertain all the other undeads and monsters, away from the prying eyes of mankind and, at the same time, he's desperately trying to keep his teenage daughter Mavis from temptation.

Inevitably, she will fall for a mortal.

The animated film will also include voice work from Fran Drescher, Steve Buscemi, Kevin James, Cee Lo Green, Andy Samberg, Molly Shannon and David Spade, and will be out on September 21, 2012.
