One of the first interesting leaks regarding LG’s upcoming flagship smartphone, the G3, popped up online yesterday in the form of a UAProf (User Agent Profile) document that hinted to the unannounced LG D850.

The said device is believed to be LG’s next high-end smartphone, the G3. The good news is that the leaked UAProf document stated that the phone’s display supported 2560 x 1440 pixels resolution.

Today, Dutch blog lgg3open.nl published the first screenshots allegedly taken from the upcoming LG G3 device. The leaked screenshots confirm that LG’s smartphone will boast a stunning QHD display that supports 2560 x 1440 pixels resolution. Check out the gallery below for the full size of the images.

According to the same cited source, the South Korean company might unveil the LG G3 no later than April, though an exact release date has yet to be confirmed.

Previous rumors pointed to a May/June release for the LG G3, but perhaps that will be the timeframe for when the smartphone may actually go on sale.

Aside from the fact that it will come with a QHD display, one of the screenshots also confirms that the G3 will feature LG Keyboard, Google voice typing, Voice Search and Text-to-speech output.

We have also noticed that LG kept the same unusual layout of the on-screen buttons, which means that the Back button will be placed on the left side, whereas the Main menu key appears in the right side. Less unusual is the fact that the Home key has been kept in the middle.

Those unfamiliar with this issue should know that almost all Android devices have a different layout of the on-screen or physical buttons with the Back button on the right, Home in the middle and Main menu on the left. This makes much more sense for those handling the device with their right hand.

LG has introduced this on-screen arrangement in G2 and G Flex models and is now expected to port it to the G3 as well. However, the South Korean company allows users to customize the way they wish to take advantage of the on-screen buttons.

Basically, this means that you could end up with the standard layout used by the majority of the Android devices, or a totally unique combination.

If these screenshots are the real thing, then LG could be one of the first important handset makers to bring to the market a smartphone that packs a QHD display, thus beating HTC and Samsung.
