One of the most mediated presences at Comic-Con 2012 in San Diego was “Iron Man 3,” which is scheduled for release next spring. A first trailer will be out this month.

E! News reports that the production shut down almost completely for 6 weeks to allow Robert Downey Jr. time to recover from an ankle injury.

He’s now back on set, shooting for the film and it seems that the delay has not changed in any way the May 3, 2013 release date.

Moreover, E! News says, a first trailer will be out on October 23: the first official look at the highly anticipated film besides the footage shown at Comic-Con.

In other words, mark your calendars and keep an eye on this space for more details.
