We’ve been hearing so many things and rumors about the upcoming “Fifty Shades of Grey” movie that it almost feels like the first official trailer for it can’t come soon enough. Well, according to author of the trilogy on which it’s based, E.L. James, we don’t have to wait for much longer.

James also acts as producer on the film, so it’s more than safe to say she’s not just teasing us when she’s saying that the first trailer will be out this month, on the 24th and that readers of the book will be thrilled by what they see.

The three novels in the “Fifty Shades” series started off as “Twilight” fanfiction, but grew into something else. They tell the story of a virgin young woman, Anastasia Steele, who falls for a very handsome, very rich and deeply troubled businessman named Christian Grey, who’s also very much into S&M.

Because she wants to be with him no matter the cost, she’s willing to give his lifestyle a try, just like the human Bella in “Twilight” agreed to be turned into a vampire just so she could be with her beloved bloodsucker Edward.

Dakota Johnson plays Anastasia, while the role of the very charismatic and edgy Christian went to Jamie Dornan. That’s his back in the poster above. So far, we have seen only very little of the movie – paparazzi photos from the set not included, so, yes, hype around the first trailer is huge.

I will go on a limb to say that this will be the same teaser that was shown at CinemaCon 2014 in Las Vegas in May this year, but until July 24, we have no way of verifying that.
