The ESL, the biggest independent eSports organization in the world of gaming, announces that it is partnering with both developer Sledgehammer Games and publisher Activision to launch the first major pro boot camp for the multiplayer side of Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare.

The event will take place between August 13 and 17 in Cologne, Germany, at the same time as the Gamescom 2014 event, allowing a range of pro players to test the new title and experience its impressive new core mechanics.

12 of the best professional Call of Duty teams in the world are invited and will take part in matches that will be streamed to the community of fans.

The invited teams include, according to the official site: Team Kaliber, Team EnVy, Team Curse, TCM Gaming, Epsilon Esports, Killerfish eSport, Team Vitality, Giants Gaming, Next Gaming, fab.Esports, Orbit.sweden, and HyperGames.

David Hiltscher, the vice president of gaming communities at the ESL, is quoted as saying that “This Pro Bootcamp gives us a chance to show the potential of the new title to really incorporate the audience’s desires. We’re super excited to see how the Pros handle playing on the new title and what sort of interesting plays they can make. This event is hopefully just the first of many Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare events to come.”

All those who are attending Gamescom 2014 can also drop by the ESL Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare location in Hall 6, B40.

The multiplayer reveal for the title showed that the core nature of the game has been significantly changed, with the exoskeleton used to power a more vertical set of maps and a number of new moves that can allow the player to avoid fire or deliver massive damage.

At the same time, the Pick mechanic now includes 13 items and there’s an option for players to customize their own scorestreaks.

Sledgehammer Games is also introducing a new Create-an-Operator system to the game and is allowing players to enter a new lobby that shows all the personalization that has been applied to a character.

Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare will be launched on Xbox One, the PlayStation 4, the PC, and last-gen consoles.

Those who pre-order the title can get access to the Day One edition of the game, which includes extra content and will allow players to start experiencing the title on November 3, while also getting access to double experience.
