As announced by a Google engineer a few days ago, this week, the company has released the Firefox version for Google Toolbar. Although Google can be considered one of Firefox supporters, it has decided only now to offer Google Toolbar.

The Firefox version offers almost the same features as the Internet Explorer one, the only difference being that Firefox has its own pop-up blocker, and therefore Google Toolbar no longer includes it.

Similarly to the Google Toolbar for IE, the Firefox version allows adjusting any setting related to the displaying of button and information and if you have Google Desktop Search installed in your computer, the application will also be integrated in the toolbar.

Although the Google Toolbar menus look different from the IE ones, the options are placed in the same positions and the configuration seems actually more facile in Firefox due to the more ergonomic interface.

Other differences result from the browsers' different structures. The Firefox version of Google Toolbar lacks the Address Bar option which is included in Firefox by default. Considering that unlike IE, Firefox knows tabs, the returned results can be showed in a new tab and not in a new window like in the case of IE.

Google Toolbar for Firefox is certified by Softpedia as being 100% Clean and is available here.
