Several reports regarding an incompatibility between the Firefox browser plus the Firebug plugin and the new Yahoo Mail are apparently true as the Yahoo employees are now advising people to update Firebug to the latest version. In case the term Firebug doesn't ring any bells to you, the application is a Firefox plugin that lets you "edit, debug, and monitor CSS, HTML, and JavaScript live in any web page," as it is mentioned on the official website. Because there are many users who have already installed the add-on and they have encountered problems while accessing Yahoo Mail, Ryan K., Community Manager at Yahoo Mail, advised consumers to update Firebug to the latest release in order to avoid all the bugs.

"There have been some recent reports that some Firefox users may be experiencing with the All-New Yahoo! Mail, if they are currently using the Firebug plugin (a popular browser tool for debugging or editing website code). Fortunately, there is already a Firebug update that should remedy the situation. Check out the Firebug website and look for the link to install version 1.1 Beta," the Yahoo official wrote on the Yahoo Mail Blog.

Firebug is quite a popular browser add-on as it recorded no less than 16,000 downloads on Softpedia, while Firefox, the king of browsers, attracted millions of users. In fact, it's a well known fact that Mozilla's application is one of the most popular software solutions in this category, although some people consider that it is even more popular than Internet Explorer, its big Microsoft rival integrated into the Windows operating system.

In case you'd like to download the latest version of Firebug, no matter if you want to fix the Yahoo Mail issues or just because you want to have the latest release, you can take it straight from Softpedia using the following link.
