A dream coming true

Browsing the web without a security solution is something like hunting wolves without a gun, and I'm not just saying it, because you all know that the Internet is full of infected websites and dangerous files, which could easily harm your computer in a matter of minutes. That's why security tools are always welcomed and every time a new company releases such a utility, all the users hurry up to download and install it. But today, we're talking about Firefox, the more secure alternative for the old-fashioned Internet Explorer bundled into the famous Windows operating system. Firefox 3, the next version of the browser, is supposed to include the most efficient security features ever implemented into a browsing application.

The already released beta versions of Firefox 3 a.k.a. Gran Paradiso have already proved us that Mozilla is very focused on the security of the application, as several features aim to defend online users. For example, Mozilla has earlier announced that a malware technology might be based on Google's partnership with StopBadware.org to find and flag malicious websites. This way, the users browsing the web with Firefox could be informed every time such a page is discovered. In addition, Gran Paradiso provides a very useful antivirus integration, which will allow these security solutions to scan every new executable file supposed to be downloaded.

"A big initiative was to give users more information about the Web site they are visiting. Does the site have an extended validation ticket and does it have a history of hosting malware? The goal is to better explain to the user where they are going and what the risks are, and to help them make rational choices", Mozilla vice president of engineering Mike Schroepfer told SearchSecurity.com.

If you want to download the latest version of Firefox, you can take it straight from Softpedia using the following link.
