Mozilla has just released a new stable version of Firefox for Android devices, which promises to make it easier to share favorite websites, articles or videos with friends.

The newest Firefox browser for Android comes with a new feature called “quickshare.” With the help of this feature, the browser will automatically add user’s most frequent sharing service to the menu button.

According to the developers, the latest version of Firefox for Android supports bump sharing on NFC-enabled devices. Simply bump your Android phone with another one and you will be able to share open tabs, favorite articles, recipes or direction in an instant.

New updates to Reader have been included in the update as well, so users will now be able to change the font between serif and sans serif based on their preferences.

Moreover, Firefox for Android can automatically switch to “dark mode” while using Reader (dark text on a light background) or “light mode” (light text on a dark background) depending on the level of light.

However, users can also manually switch between these modes as they see fit. Mozilla also states that everything in the Reader is available offline as well, so users can “catch up on reading during commutes or other periods of time where Internet access is unavailable, like on an airplane or subway.”

You can now long tap the Reader icon in the URL bar to add an article to Reading List for later view. Last but not least, the latest update for Firefox for Android brings support for additional languages such as: Catalan, British-English and Swedish. This brings the total amount of supported languages in Firefox to 20.

You can now download Firefox for Android 24.0 for free via Softpedia. Keep in mind that the application is fully compatible with all devices running Android 2.0 and up.
