Even though Nemo has already been found once in “Finding Nemo,” there's still more to be had from this story, as evidence by a new piece on Deadline, which confirms that a sequel is currently in the works over at Pixar.

Andrew Stanton, who made his live-action directorial debut in the commercial flop “John Carter,” will return at the helm of the Nemo story for a sequel.

As Deadline puts it, Disney has already forgiven him for the “John Carter” debacle and is willing to let him out of the “director jail.”

“I’m told he’s now officially come aboard the Finding Nemo sequel and has a concept the studio loves. Pixar continues to not be helpful on this, as they don’t comment on development,” Deadline writes.

The e-zine goes on to say that it makes a lot of sense to bring Stanton back even though “Carter” marked a huge loss for the studio, because the man has two Oscars for his work on the first “Nemo” film and “Wall-E.”

Until Nemo is found again (sorry, we couldn't resist), the 3D version of the original will be out in theaters this September.
