What makes us who we are is where we come from. This being said, each of us has his or her unique personality, shaped according to various events that he or she has been exposed to in life. There are also cases where the social rank plays an important role in establishing who we are both to the world and to ourselves. The new Hidden in Time: Mirror Mirror game exploits the possibility of having to be forced to live a lie for your entire life and finally getting the chance to discover the truth about your family legacy.

The basic storyline of the game revolves around exploring a castle that seems to hold clues about your family past. With the help of a magical mirror you have to explore each room in search for valuable artifacts that can shed some light into what happened in your family. As you dig deeper into the mystery, you will stumble across small mini games that will require using your wits and skills in order to get around them. From redirecting a beam of light with the help of multiple mirrors so that you can reveal an image to rearranging cutout pieces of a painting and deciphering their message, the game is fully equipped to keep you busy and interested for a long time.

Apart from other hidden-object games, Hidden in Time: Mirror Mirror is a lot more captivating because it will keep you guessing until the end when it comes to the secret that it holds so well hidden. The multiple chambers that you visit can be considered as amusement because the true fascination of the game lies in revealing the final mystery at the end of it. If you are a fan of both hidden-object games and puzzles, I personally recommend that you give this one a try for it has been created to have you always interested and never bored. For instance, when searching for clues you will sometimes have to revisit some of the previously known rooms so that you can find the missing puzzle pieces and some hidden keys that unlock other parts of the castle.

Even if the game comes with high-quality background settings, you will find the soundtrack captivating and most of the time in the same tone with the room that you are currently in. It is because of these two elements that the gameplay experience changes dramatically as the story is brought to life.

The sixty-minute trial that you can freely download will be more than sufficient to get you hocked on the game. Personally, when I tried the trial version I was so into the game that I unlocked the first twelve chambers without realizing when the sixty minutes had passed. If you experience the same feeling, unlocking the unlimited version of the game for 19.99 dollars will not be such a big deal.
