Because you should always get the best out of your comfort appliances

Summer is coming fast, and not everyone has an air conditioning system. That means that fans will be used a lot during the coming months.

And I'm not talking about little fans, like the ones used in PCs or other electronics. I'm referring to the big ones, meant to add some air currents to a room.

Fans could be said to come in two types: the sort that stand still on their axis (or hanging from the ceiling), and the ones that turn left and right periodically, thus increasing the range of the air funnel caused by the blades.

Irisohyama decided that it was high time someone released a fan capable of detecting human presence and location, allowing it to always send a comfortable breeze in your direction.

Oh, there are fans like this, but they're very sparse, most done on command. This is more or less the first retail-available fan with human tracking.

Here's how it works: it stays off in an empty room, but activates on its own when you step inside. Also, during the first minute it moves left and right, sweeping the area as it were, after which is settles on whichever angle has you in its direct “sight.”

Thus, the Irisohyama fan is both effective and energy efficient, which is always important. The price is of $175 / €175.
