French and German versions to be launched in Leipzig

Square Enix announced today that the unveiling of the forthcoming German and French versions of FINAL FANTASY XI will take place at Games Convention 2006 in Leipzig, Germany.

Games Convention 2006, open from August 23 to August 27, will be the first chance that fans of FINAL FANTASY XI, the Massively Multiplayer Online Role Playing Game for Windows and Xbox 360 video game and entertainment system, have to sample the vast localization task that is underway as the game is transformed for German and French players.

Located on the show floor at the FINAL FANTASY XI Arena in Hall 5, not only will visitors be able to sample the localized FINAL FANTASY XI for the first time, guests will also have the chance to meet the development team, enter unique competitions in Vana'diel, the world of FINAL FANTASY XI, and to win some exclusive prizes.
