Two important brands, the  Oscar Academy  Awards and Steve Jobs company - Apple. This year the link between these two names is defined by the Final Cut-created documentaries. Nine of ten documentaries nominated for this year’s Oscars, in both selected categories, respectively “Documentary Feature” and “Documentary Short” were created using the Apple’s professional-level Final Cut Pro software application.

The one documentary that didn’t use Final Cut Pro, the long-form documentary ‘Burma VJ,” was edited entirely on an Avid video editing system, which is a bit more advanced than an iPhone, if we want to keep it strictly on Apple’s related features. The Final Cut-edited “The Cove” is considered a favorite among the Oscar nominated documentaries. So, maybe this year, an Oscar award will go to Steve Jobs’ empire.

Final Cut Pro on its new release of the Final Cut Pro 7 version is a professional video editing software. Final Cut invites users to edit video workflows on a high level quality, now with expanded support for file-based formats and ProRes options, a rich set of effects and visualization tools. A video can be processed efficiently at large file sizes, the interface enhancements being suited to serve to an easier and more accurate editing and trimming of the videos, while the program’s platform has an open architecture and a natural extensibility. Final Cut Pro also offers support for digital cinema workflows.

Apple proudly features a certainty mark on the company’s website in order to sustain what was said before - “with all the advancements in Final Cut Pro 7, there are now even more reasons why it’s the first choice of professional editors. Powerful new features and time- saving improvements help you work faster than ever. Whether you’re working solo or collaborating with a team, Final Cut Pro 7 gives you more creative options and technical control.”
