Sylvester Stallone will do another, final “Rambo” film called “Rambo: Last Blood”

Age is but a number in Sylvester Stallone’s case: the actor is nearing 70 but he’s keeping as busy as ever, working on action movies like he’s still in his prime. Some days ago, he oh-so-casually mentioned on Twitter the name of the fifth “Rambo” movie, and confirmation is now here that this is the actual title: “Rambo: Last Blood.”

Sly’s original tweet is available below; it was posted on December 28 and mentioned that he’d do another movie first before shooting “Rambo: Last Blood.”

Variety confirms now that this is the actual title, and an IMDB page for it is already online, so no, Sly wasn’t just teasing his fans with that. The short synopsis for the film on the latter reads, “Rambo goes up against a Mexican cartel in what's reported to be his last adventure,” and lists Stallone as director as well.

So not only is he starring as lead but he’s also helming the project. Talk about putting your fingers in all the pies available.

Stallone is also working on a Rocky spinoff, whose ending he may or may not have spoiled on social media by posting a photo of the final page of the script, and he’ll be reprising his role for a third installment in “Expendables” as well.

As of now, there is no start-date for production on “Rambo 5” or an estimated release date. However, word online has it that this will be the last installment – which really makes sense, if you think about it. Seven years ago, Sly said shooting the fourth was difficult because of the physical stuff. The fifth will be even more so.
