Because Christmas is the time to be generous why not donate some blood in a themed bag

In an attempt to encourage meaningful Christmas gifts, Helsinki designer, Kiseung Lee believed that some festive-shaped blood bags will make people decide to make a gesture that could save a life.

The blood-banks' stocks are always in the need of more donations, and if the holiday spirit really makes people more giving than usual, why not encourage them to save a life for Christmas. I don't think you can give someone a better gift than the chance to live.

Even if at first I was a bit shocked by the association, it is actually one of the best ideas I've encountered lately. If people fill stockings with gifts for the winter holiday, why not fill a blood-pack shaped as a stocking with donated blood for someone in need. I think that would be more appreciated that some chocolate or toys, and it would actually not cost you that much.

The new blood bag design is meant to inspire “Santa-like” feelings in those healthy people who can donate blood and maybe save a life for Christmas. The design was part of the Helsinki Design Week Exhibit and was filled with colored liquid and not real blood.
