Everybody is pretty excited with Ferrari Challenge Trofeo Pirelli, a game which managed to bring realistic racing to the fans of the genre, together with the opportunity to drive some of the best cars in the world. System 3, the game's developers, have just announced that the first downloadable content pack would be released in August, and we're expecting to get lots and lots of goodies.

For example, one new circuit will be made available to us - the 5.2km N?rburgring F1 Strecke, known as one of the toughest and most dangerous tracks in the world. But, for us, it will only mean extra fun. And, just to be sure that we will indeed enjoy the DLC, five brand new cars will also be introduced.

"To compliment an already huge array of Ferraris on offer in Ferrari Challenge Trofeo Pirelli, we've hand-picked the most sought after models to launch our first downloadable content pack," said Mark Cale, CEO, System 3. "We're pleased to give the community another world class race track on which to race these fantastic cars. We're not planning on stopping there, with more downloadable content packs to be announced shortly, cementing Ferrari Challenge Trofeo Pirelli as the most feature packed simulation available for PlayStation 3."

Indeed we are glad, since the cars in the DLC are Ferrari Enzo, the most powerful car in the world and certainly one of the most beautiful; F430 Spider, the car which brings elegance and style together with high speed; P4/5, a custom designed beast that can get to super speeds just a bit faster than the Enzo; 612 Scaglietti, a rare breed among Ferraris since it offers a four-seat experience; and 599 GTB Fiorano, the world famous test track from Ferrari, offering 5999cc. Add these names to the previous 16 cars available in the game and you'll understand that you're up for a treat from the developers.
