For a while there, it seemed as if Fergie put all plans of separate projects aside and decided to focus only on her work with the Black Eyed Peas, which was somewhat of a disappointment for her fans who wanted to see her continue her journey as a solo artist as well. The good news is that Fergie continues to pursue her solo career, and has just released a video for her collaboration with David Guetta, “Getting Over You.”

As HollyScoop and the video embedded at the end of this article can both confirm, though the words to the song might suggest heartbreak and love that will never die despite the fact that a breakup has already occurred, the tone of the vid is very upbeat. As with previous David Guetta videos, there’s a lot of crazy dancing, funky outfits and an overall feeling of happiness and, suffice it to say, Fergie fits in just wonderfully.

“This song is one of our favorites this year! Fergie teams up with David Guetta, LMFAO, and Chris Willis for ‘Getting Over You,’ and the music video is now out! The track was originally included on Guetta’s album One Love and featured Chris Willis, but in the new version, David adds Fergie and LMFAO to the song and some sick beats to make it a whole new song!” HollyScoop writes of the release. And that’s not all, for the video comes with even more star-power.

“America’s Best Dance Crew champs JabbaWockeeZ make an appearance on the song as well. Guetta told MTV, ‘The video is the story of what happened to me when I came to produce “I Gotta Feeling” for the Black Eyed Peas. So, the inspiration for my video is we’re in recording sessions – me, Fergie, LMFAO, Chris Willis – and then more and more people are partying in the studio. We party in the streets. Partying in the area... partying in the city’,” the same e-zine writes, citing Guetta.

Indeed, the entire video could be described as one extended party. Check it out below to see what Guetta means by that. Enjoy.
