Ever since she embarked on her comeback tour, diva Whitney Houston has been plagued by rumors of drug relapse, some health-related holdups and very negative reviews. Today brings another report in the same tone, as fans left with hundreds from a recent concert in Denmark, booed Whitney when she tried to honor Michael Jackson with a speech, while critics said her performance was more than horrible, as Contact Music can confirm.

To add insult to injury, the National Enquirer is running a story according to which Whitney is becoming more and more incontrollable by the day. Moreover, she’s also piling on the pounds, the British tab says, including a photo that does, indeed, seem to confirm that the diva is much heavier now than she was when she first went on the road. Still, as far as music is concerned, it’s poor critical and fan reception that’s the most troubling aspect.

“Whitney Houston’s troubled tour has derailed yet again – hundreds of fans walked out of a show in Denmark over her faltering voice. The R&B star’s highly-anticipated comeback trek has been blighted by poor reviews and criticism from some fans that her vocals are too weak to carry the show. She scrapped a string of European concerts in April (10) after she was hospitalized with nose and throat problems, and was later booed by an audience in Birmingham, England because her singing was off-key,” Contact Music writes.

“Now she is facing renewed concerns for her health after hordes of fans in Copenhagen left her show midway through, complaining about Houston’s poor performance. She then reportedly turned on a section of the audience when some fans began booing as she made a speech paying tribute to Michael Jackson. According to the Copenhagen Post, critics from ‘all of the major media outlets’ in the country slammed the concert, insisting Houston’s vocals were weak and tuneless,” the music e-zine further says.

One critic, for instance, Thomas Soie Hansen of the Berlingske Tidende, says Whitney’s most recent performance can be compared to one put on by a singer who doesn’t have that much to live. By the end of the gig, Houston seemed either on the verge of dying or of exploding, the same critics writes in a scathing review cited by Contact Music.
