At the beginning of the month, legendary screen siren Farrah Fawcett was hospitalized for an internal bleeding that reportedly had nothing to do with her cancer returning, but with a medical procedure she underwent in Germany. Now, friends close to the star are telling the media that she has been taken home where they are “praying for a miracle,” as AceShowbiz can confirm.

Farrah and Ryan O’Neil’s son, Redmond, currently in jail serving a sentence on drug-related charges, was also released the other day and allowed to visit his mother’s bedside, which has only come to fuel even more the speculation that she is, indeed, losing her battle with cancer. Unnamed, but reportedly reliable sources close to the actress also paint the same tragic picture, saying she has lost the will and power to fight the terrible disease.

“Look. This is all being done so that Farrah can see Redmond while she still is able to talk to him and communicate with him properly. Of course, we’re all praying for a miracle, but the likelihood of that happening is very slim. A key part of Redmond’s visit was so he could swear to his mother that he would stick with a rehab and recovery program.” the presumably trustworthy sources are telling the media.

Farrah’s long but inspiring for so many battle with the disease began in 2006, when she was diagnosed with anal cancer. Following chemotherapy and several other treatments, she was pronounced cancer-free a while later, precisely on her 60th birthday. Nevertheless, only months later, doctors found that the cancer had returned – following her hospitalization at the beginning of April, doctors at the institution having confirmed that the cancer had spread to her liver as well.

While undergoing chemotherapy and stem-cell treatment in Germany, the former “Charlie’s Angels” Angel made sure every step of her treatment was well documented on camera in a documentary called “A Wing and a Prayer,” meant to show other sufferers like her that they were not alone. Following her recent trip to the emergency room and subsequent hospitalization, close friend and producer Craig Nevius issued a statement saying she was determined to fight this to the end, and, at the same time, that she wanted to thank fans for their support throughout “her story in the hope that there is hope.”
