The team at developer Giants Interactive and publisher Focus Home Interactive are delivering the first official video for the upcoming Farming Simulator 2015, designed to show gamers the core features of the new game engine and the improved graphics quality that fans will be able to enjoy later in the year.

The companies working on the title are promising to deliver a better way to experience “the daily challenges of a modern farmer as you grow crops, sell produce, rear livestock and manage and develop your own farming complex in two immense open worlds... with a new Nordic setting!”

The game engine of Farming Simulator 2015 is designed to use physical-based rendering, which will deliver improved results when it comes to vehicles and more.

Players will also be able to engage in logging, managing a number of forested areas, which come with their unique set of vehicles and machines, including chainsaws, chippers, trailers, and harvesters.

The development team adds, “This additional equipment joins the long list of agricultural machinery that has been faithfully reproduced from the originals made by famous manufacturers such as Case IH, Deutz-Fahr and Lamborghini that are ready to be put to work. More prestigious brands in the sector are also available; New Holland and Ponsse among others!”

Giants Interactive is also adding a new extensive online mode to Farming Simulator 2015, which means that players can now engage in 16-player online games either online or via LAN with a suite of options for match setup.

A new customization tool can also be used to tweak everything from vehicles to environments and the game includes new sharing options that make it easy for players to offer their creations for the community to use in its own games.

The Farming Simulator series tends to fly under the radar for a number of hardcore gamers, but it has managed to move more than 2 million units to players and has garnered a solid fan base.

The new version will certainly increase the profile of the franchise, and the development team has included a number of new features that might appeal even to console gamers, who tend to be uninterested in simulation titles.

Farming Simulator 2015 will arrive on the PC in October of this year and the two companies also plan to launch it in 2015 on the Xbox One, the PlayStation 4, the PS3, and the Xbox 360, with cross-generational support.
