A pre-order page for Far Cry 4 went online a bit early on Ubisoft's Uplay service alongside a description of the game's story, its protagonist, and its villain, revealing quite a few unknown things about the upcoming first-person shooter.

The Far Cry series was originally developed by German studio Crytek but Ubisoft quickly took the series to its different internal teams with Far Cry 2, 3, and the standalone expansion Blood Dragon, reaching critical acclaim and generating quite a lot of profit for the French company.

The response to Far Cry 3 was so good that the company immediately greenlit a fourth installment, which was finally revealed earlier this month in the form of the eloquently named Far Cry 4.

Unfortunately for fans, the details offered by the publisher were scarce, as Ubisoft limited itself to saying that the game takes place in the Himalaya mountain range and that players will face off against a brand new villain, potentially the man on the game's cover.

Now, however, it seems that a full description has emerged online, thanks to a uPlay page that was available for a limited time and was captured by AGB.

While talking about the game, Ubisoft has confirmed that players will face off against the dictator Pagan Min in the fictional Kyrat country located in the Himalayas, in order to fulfill their mother's dying wish. Check out the full description below.

"Far Cry 4 delivers an unparalleled next-gen experience in an entirely new and massive open world. Hidden in the majestic Himalayas lies Kyrat, a country steeped in tradition and violence. You are Ajay Ghale. Traveling to Kyrat to fulfill your mother's dying wish, you find yourself caught up in a civil war to overthrow the oppressive regime of dictator Pagan Min," the studio said.

"Explore and navigate this vast open world, where danger and unpredictability lurk around every corner. Here, every decision counts, and every second is a story. Welcome to Kyrat."

The pre-order page also hyped up the already-known Limited Edition of the game, which is a free upgrade to anyone who pre-orders Far Cry 4 ahead of its release this fall. It includes, in case you forgot, Hurk's Redemption, a series of three single-player missions that reward players with a rare harpoon gun called the Impaler.

As of yet, Ubisoft hasn't commented on the leak, but you can expect the publisher to offer more details next month, at E3 2014, during its own press conference.
