Looks like games based on comic books are doing extremely well in sales, as everyone is trying to get a piece of the pie. Yesterday came the announcement that SEGA purchased the rights for Iron Man, and now, rumors about a Fantastic 4 game are starting to appear.

Eurogamer reports that a game will be launched with the next Fantastic 4 movie next year. They also mentioned the statements of Marvel executive David Maisel, who revealed that there is a "new relationship" in place as regarding a Fantastic 4 game. This means that someone new is interested in buying the rights for the game.

Eurogamer speculates that the fight for the Fantastic 4 game is between Take-Two and SEGA. They support their speculations by saying that SEGA hinted that there will be some more "next-gen console collaboration with Marvel" besides Iron Man.

There has already been another Fantastic 4 game, released back in 1998 for the PS1 and you were able to pick from four characters.

The Fantastic 4 franchise is quite old, as Stan Lee and Jack Kirby created it back in 1961. The Fantastic 4 team is made up of four friends who gained their superpowers by being exposed to cosmic rays during an outer space mission.
