What may seem as a bonding family activity transformed into a heated fight when relatives couldn't decide upon the Christmas tree decoration time. When neither of them agreed upon the decisions concerning the holiday décor, they started pushing and yelling until the officers intervened.

According to the police report, the main reason of the fight was the fact that two of the three women living together in the same house started decorating the tree while the third Christmas enthusiast was at work, notes The Smocking Gun.

The argument started around 10.30 pm in Spartanburg, South Carolina between there women-aged 76, 61 and 24, most probably when the third one came back from work to find the tree almost done.

A 41-year-old male relative came and tried calming them down but failed as the women got even angrier and the argument turned into a fight. Seeing he had no chance of calming the raged females, he decided to ask for someone else's help.

The officers handling the case said that the ladies admitted to “pushing each other and getting in their faces,” because of the tree decorating issue. Even if no one was injured, medical assistance was required to examine the 76-year-old woman as her rage and stress could affect her blood pressure.

Holidays can bring out the best and the worst in people, as proven with different occasions and this particular family realized the stupidity of their fight later on as they apologized and promised to make it up to each other.

After a few hours of arguing and fighting, a deputy noted that the women acknowledged that their emotions got the best of them just around 1.30 am, according to The Smoking Gun. They decided not to press charges and no one was arrested.

Christmas is not only the time for peace and love spreading, but also the time when most family fights happen, as long-time-no-see relatives get together and find the slightest reasons to argue upon. Besides reunions, family meals, gifts and joly-good-times, the holidays bring a lot of stress that may get the worst out of people.
