Bethesda has confirmed during the Microsoft E3 2015 press event that any and all mods made by PC users for Fallout 4 this fall will be available on the Xbox One for free, thanks to a new partnership between the two companies. What's more, the Xbox One edition also comes with a free copy of Fallout 3.

Fallout 4 was revealed to the world a few weeks ago, and yesterday, during Bethesda's own E3 2015 press conference, all sorts of details about its gameplay, story, mechanics, and features were revealed by the large company.

PC mods for Fallout 4 can be transferred for free to Xbox One

However, at Microsoft's E3 2015 press event today, Bethesda's Todd Howard came forth and made a new gameplay demonstration that ended on a pretty surprising note: all mods made by PC users for their version of Fallout 4 will be available for free on the Xbox One version.

The announcement is quite interesting and will certainly sway plenty of fans who wanted the PC version for its modding capabilities to the Xbox One version, seeing as how they'll get that major aspect for their own edition of the post-apocalyptic RPG.

As of yet, no other technical details have been made available by Bethesda or Microsoft, so expect to hear much more ahead of Fallout 4's launch on November 10, 2015. The RPG will also launch on that day onto the PS4.

Free Fallout 3 copy also included in the Xbox One version

Last but not least, Bethesda and Microsoft also mentioned that Fallout 4 Xbox One editions also come with a free copy of Fallout 3. It's unclear if this free game is possible through the Xbox 360 backwards compatibility feature that's just been confirmed for the Xbox One.

Expect more details soon enough.
