The development team working on Fallout 4 might have officially revealed the title before the E3 2015 event, but they have saved a huge reveal about the title for the press conference, announcing that the coming experience will allow gamers to build structures, manage a town and craft a variety of weapons.

Todd Howard, the leader of the studio, says that gamers will be able to collect resources as they are moving through the world, while they explore quests and hunt down enemies.

Once they have what they need, a simple-to-use interface will allow players to create entirely new buildings in the world of Fallout 4 or to upgrade the already existing ones.

As they re-build, other inhabitants will become attracted to these new clusters of civilization and players will have to manage their presence and to deal with the merchants that appear, some of which will carry unique items.

Caravans will be required to keep up trade between the various locations and to make sure that they have the resources they need to survive attacks from raiders who want to loot them and kill their inhabitants.

Fallout 4 will also have extensive weapon crafting

For those who do not want to rebuild the game world, the title will deliver another way to use resources gathered from the world: the creation of unique weapons.

Gamers will be able to choose how to upgrade them in order to give their character new options when dealing with the variety of threats they will have to face.

Bethesda says it will offer more than 50 core weapons and more than 700 mods for them.

The highlight of the system will be the fact that games will get their own suit of power armor which can itself be tweaked to gain new capabilities, including flight.

The team is also using the extensive crafting to add a new dimension to the VATS combat system and to encourage players to experiment with their choices and tactics.

Fallout 4 will be launched on November 10 of this year on the PC, the Xbox One and the PlayStation 4.
