Fallout 4 has been officially confirmed by an early version of the official website that went live before the actual countdown expired. Just a few details have been spotted, including the fact that the game is coming to the PC, PS4, and Xbox One platforms.

Fallout 4 has been rumored to exist for many years now, but only yesterday did Bethesda actually confirm that it was working on a new game in the post-apocalyptic role-playing game series. The confirmation came with a countdown clock that's set to expire today, at 7am PT.

An early leak confirms quite a few things

However, it seems that Bethesda's official website had a bit of an early spill of information, as for a limited time fans were able to admire a splash page confirming Fallout 4, as well as a pre-order page that mentioned a PC, PS4, and Xbox One release for the new role-playing game.

A presumably official announcement video was also spotted, but at least for now, the trailer is set to private on YouTube. We will, however, link it below, for when it actually goes live in around one hour.

Until then, feel free to speculate more things based on the leaked splash image above, via Reddit, and eagerly await the full reveal later today, as well as Bethesda's E3 2015 press conference on June 15.

Update: Reddit users also managed to get the first image from the aforementioned trailer before it was turned into a private one by Bethesda. As you can see below, it shows a few mysterious people in the Scollay Square from Boston, effectively confirming previous rumors that Fallout 4 is going to take place in the Boston and Massachusetts area.

It's unclear what exactly will take place in the Scollay Square, as it could be a settlement in the vein of New Vegas from the previous Fallout: New Vegas installment that was made by Obsidian and published by Bethesda several years ago.

We've upgraded this initial blog piece into a full-fledged article to reflect the new information and update.
