Instead of tire coupons you can receive a blank piece of paper if you're not cautious

Since winter is approaching fast and car owners are rushing to equip their vehicles with the appropriate set of tires, spammers don't just stand around, instead they're launching campaigns in which they offer discount coupons.

MalwareCity informs us that an old message came back, this time promising fabulous savings with a minimum effort.

“We have tire coupons and rebates, making shopping for new tires for your car less expensive. It's easy to get these coupons to save on tires, just plug in the year, make and model of your vehicle to get started,” reads the message coming from the crooks.

Bitdefender experts warn that in these situations victims may not be served with malicious software or redirected to malevolent websites, instead they may end up paying for a product that doesn't exist.

Beware of offers that sound too good to be true. Always read reviews on a virtual store before making a purchase as you never know when you could end up receiving a brick or a wet sock instead of what you asked for.
