A couple of Facebook pages of the Helsinki-based video game development company Supercell have been hacked. The targeted pages are the ones for farming game Hay Day and combat strategy game Clash of Clans.

“Our Clash of Clans and Hay Day Facebook pages have been hacked. We are working to solve the problem,” Supercell representatives wrote on Facebook a few hours ago.

The individual responsible for the hack attack, a Syrian who uses the online moniker Ethical Spectrum, has told e27 that he has also gained access to information on the studio’s monthly active users and revenue.

The hacker claims to have hijacked the Facebook accounts after breaching their engagor.com accounts.

Ethical Spectrum suggests that he’s merely trying to help the company in securing its systems. He says he could have leaked much more data and caused greater damage. He claims that he will not leak any other data if Supercell cooperates with him.
